We are pleased to introduce a significant feature in the bexio Cockpit today: You can now integrate and manage non-bexio clients - who use other software or no digital solution (companies or private individuals ) - directly into your bexio Cockpit.

This creates a seamless overview of all your clients and their ongoing processes, eliminating the need to switch between different systems. You can now define and manage processes, deadlines, and tasks even for clients without bexio.

How does it work?

In the client overview of the Cockpit, click on “Add Client” and select “Other Client”.
Select the client from your bexio Office contact list or create a new contact.
Filter your client overview by company and private clients, as well as by the software used.

Journal Entries: Cleaner Descriptions and Zero-Amount Reporting

1. Optimized Journal Entry Descriptions for Supplier Bills
We have revised the descriptions for automatically generated journal entries related to supplier bills to make them clearer and more concise.

Focus on Key Info: The journal description now starts directly with the relevant primary information, e.g., the document number or the line item description.
No More Default Prefix: The default prefix "Bill created" is no longer part of the description.
Benefit: Your journal entries for expenses are now easier to read and searching for specific transactions is simplified.

2. Zero-Amount Journal Entries
The handling of zero-amount journal entries has been improved:

Zero Amounts Included: Journal entries where the net or tax amount is CHF 0.00 are now correctly recorded and reported in the journal.
Use Cases: This is crucial for the correct booking of specific amounts, such as customs duty, where the net amount is zero, or for the reporting of the tax amount for 0% import tax, which is also zero but still needs to be reported.
Benefit: This ensures complete reporting of all individual journal entries in accordance with legal requirements and increases the transparency of the entries, particularly in relation to VAT (Value Added Tax).

Journal filter to easily identify missing attachments

We introduced a new, convenient filter option in the Journal to help you with attachment management. This filter, which can be combined with existing criteria, allows you to quickly identify whether an attachment is present or missing for the following document types:

Manual journal entries
Vendor bills
Vendor credit notes

Quicker Path to the New Fiscal Year

If you adjust the booking date of a supplier bill to a year where no tax period exists yet, bexio now offers you the option to create it automatically (including the fiscal year, if needed). You can reuse the previous period's settings or adjust the details manually.

Your Benefit: No more interruptions when booking bills across the year-end boundary—available for new bills and when updating the date of existing entries.

Hypothekarbank Lenzburg Connection via bLink

We are pleased to introduce a new integration: you can now connect your Hypothekarbank Lenzburg account directly with bexio.

With this connection via the bLink interface, you can automatically retrieve your bank transactions and submit payments directly from bexio. This eliminates the manual effort of uploading and downloading account statements and payment files.

How does it work?
You can find the option to connect your Hypothekarbank Lenzburg account in the Banking section of bexio. Simply follow the instructions to set up the bLink connection.
