Markus Naef to be new CEO of bexio

Media release, 15.2.2022

Double change at the helm of bexio: Markus Naef is to be the new CEO, while Tom Sprenger is taking over the CTO position. Both are joining the La Mobilière subsidiary from SwissSign Group AG.

Markus Naef (52) is taking over the management of bexio from 1 May 2022. He was previously CEO of SwissSign Group AG, which was taken over by Swiss Post in October 2021. Between 2014 and 2017 he was a member of the Executive Committee of Sunrise Communications AG, where he was responsible for the corporate customer division. Markus Naef succeeds Laurent Decrue at bexio.

Tom Sprenger (51) is to be the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of bexio, having also held the same function at SwissSign Group AG over the last two years. Prior to this, he spent 20 years working for AdNovum, an IT company specialising in software engineering, among other things as CTO and Deputy CEO. He will assume his new function on 1 April 2022.

Current Managing Director Laurent Decrue and CTO Nenad Nikolic have decided to leave bexio in order to focus more on their software development company that they founded together in 2014. “I would like to thank Laurent Decrue and Nenad Nikolic for their contribution and wish them all the best for the future,” says Andrea Kleiner, Head of Business Development of the La Mobilière Group and successor of Thomas Trachsler as designated new Chair of the Board of Directors of bexio.

She continues: “Markus Naef has a great deal of experience in the simplification of business processes through digitalisation. He has made SwissSign Group AG and above all SwissID into an established brand for the development and marketing of secure digital identities in the last five years. We have every confidence that Markus Naef, together with Tom Sprenger and the entire bexio team, will advance the growth course and further development of bexio.”
