All document actions are now clearly grouped in a new action section. Additionally, we have updated the document header and status bar to highlight crucial amounts and the document status more effectively.

Changing the VAT Reporting Method in One Go

We are simplifying the process of changing the VAT reporting method:

When you change the VAT method (from Effective to Net Taxation, or vice-versa), you now have the option to add the new tax rates directly in the same step. This allows the entire reporting method change to be completed in one continuous, uninterrupted flow.

Tracking of Home Office Days for Cross-Border Commuters

We have expanded the payroll system to support you in complying with the new rules for cross-border commuters (DBA CH-FR) effective January 1, 2026. With this, bexio Payroll is officially Swissdec 5.3 certified, supporting you in transmitting payroll and performance data quickly, easily, and securely directly to insurers and authorities using the latest version.

French Cross-Border Commuters: To help you fulfill your obligations, you can now record Home Office (Remote Work) and travel days directly on the paystub or in the employee settings. The system automatically displays calculated fields and warns if the known limits (40% remote work / 10 travel days) are exceeded.

German and Italian Cross-Border Commuters: Recording Remote Days is now also possible for German and Italian cross-border commuters. Working days in Switzerland are automatically calculated based on these entries.
